| By Car | There is very limited parking! There are two 'Disabled' Parking bays outside the Institute and limited 2hr parking in Polstead and St Margaret's Roads. In the evenings, resident permit restrictions on some parking bays end at 6.30. If coming from out of town it is best to use the Pear Tree Park and Ride, dismounting the 300 bus (on Banbury Road) at the Canterbury Road stop - ask the driver. It is quite a walk, down Canterbury Road, back up Woodstock Road to Polstead Road and then down to the Institute. |
| By Bus | From
the Rail Station you can catch a No 17 Bus from the R5 stop outside the
building. This will take you up Walton Street, which runs into
Kingston Road. Ask the driver to tell you when to get off for St
Margaret's Church. Then walk a short distance on up Kingston Road
(the bus turns into St Margaret' Road) to the next junction.
Polstead Road is on your right, and the Institute is next to the
Anchor Inn which is on the junction. From Magdalen Street you can also catch the more frequent service up Woodstock Road - bus No's 17A, 17C and 6. Get off at the St Margaret's Road stop (ask the driver) - walk down St Margaret's Road (west, towards the church, do not cross the main Woodstock Road or you will end up going east, towards Banbury Rd). When you reach the junction with Kingston Road, turn right, and go to the next junction where you will find the Anchor Inn and the Institute.
