Bryan Wardley awarded the BEM

We are delighted to announce that Bryan Wardley, our treasurer, buildings manager, fundraiser and general guardian of the Institute for most of the last 13 years, has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the New Year Honours. Click here for more detail.

Tea and Talks

Room Bookings

Rates from just £9.50 per session. We are happy to consider bookings for workshops and other activities especially during the holiday periods.

We are sorry but we cannot accept any more weekly bookings at the weekends.


Welcome to St Margaret's Institute, located in north Oxford and serving the needs of the community for over 120 years. We offer versatile rooms of different sizes for rent at affordable prices, organise events for the community and provide space for local activity groups to flourish. This community centre is run by a management committee on behalf of the Parochial Church Council of St Margaret's Church.
